These terms cover the Goldcard app and website run from Manila, Philippines. By creating a Goldcard you agree to them. Goldcard is in pilot: top-ups in the app are a demonstration and no real money moves until Goldcard announces live payments.
You need to be 18 or older, or have a parent's consent, and give a real name, email and (optionally) a Philippine mobile number. Keep your password private; you are responsible for activity on your account.
Your Goldcard balance can be spent at any active Goldcard merchant. A gift balance added from a merchant's gift card code can only be spent at that merchant. Balances do not expire. A wallet can hold at most ₱100,000. Balances earn no interest.
The pay QR in the app is valid for two minutes and can be used once. When a cashier charges it, your gift balance at that merchant is used first, then your Goldcard balance. Refunds go back the way you paid. Disputes about goods or services are between you and the merchant; contact us if a merchant doesn't help.
You can send part of your Goldcard balance to another person. If they aren't a member yet, the gift waits for them for 30 days and is then returned to you. Sent gifts can't be recalled once delivered.
Merchants set how many points you earn and fund their offers. Points belong to one merchant, can be converted to gift balance there (100 points = ₱10) and have no cash value. Offers can end or run out at any time; a claimed offer is applied automatically at your next payment at that merchant.
We may suspend accounts used for fraud, money laundering or abuse, and reverse transactions that resulted from errors or fraud.
You can delete your account in the app once your balances are zero. We keep payment records as the law requires (see the privacy policy).
Goldcard is provided as is during the pilot. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Act of the Philippines (RA 7394). Philippine law applies; disputes go to the courts of Makati City.
These terms are a working draft and have not been reviewed by a lawyer.
